Among the throngs of students at her high school, Alex blends in, but as the only girl on the wrestling team, she certainly stands out. The boys on the team might have several inches and several pounds on her but they can’t match her in spirit and gumption. Led by Eliot, the boys on the team try to break her, but she won’t let them.

Even though the boys are physically stronger than her, Alex’s strength of will is unrivaled. She’s the queen of the brave face, the bold move, and a big secret. What everyone doesn’t know about her won’t hurt them, but it does hurt her and make her feel alone.
